MEDITERRANEAN REGION, Conclusion
This special study documented the seismicity of the Mediterranean area, most active around Greece and Turkey and into Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. While Israel is apparently quake-free, large quakes have occurred historically. As large quakes as in Iran above will appear on the FIVE Index above, this study is concluded.
