EQF-Solar flares etc is not my field, but I've learned something about them from articles in EOS and from NOAA web sites. I'm not sure, but I suspect that some or many of your ideas above on how these work are not correct. I suggest first that you read up on this. I may mnake more comments on this below when I have more time-off to hockey now-have to make up for sitting in front of a computer...chris
