Re: Different types of geomagnetic storms

If I have these electron and proton effects in the right order, the next step in the earthquake triggering process is the theory that if the geomagnetic storm is an electron storm it is supposed to promote earthquake triggering. And if it is a proton storm it is supposed to suppress triggering. So you probably have to look for the triggering effects in relation to the type of storm.

Moving on, the fault zone location is supposed to be important. There are the subsolar and antisolar locations. Then there are supposed to be important triggering effect rings which circle the Earth at certain latitudes including one near the equator.

Dr. Lowell Whiteside spent some time here explaining what these proposed important zones are. But I wasn’t really able to follow what he was talking about. It was the same with the RingMaps. I was not certain what the theories were behind them.
