In my opinion, if you think that government officials should be doing something that they are not doing then you have at least 2 options to try to get something done: 1. You can complain. I have found that that usually does not accomplish too much. 2. You can try doing something yourself to correct the problem. I have been working on things to correct the earthquake problem for years. And now and then a complaint is appropriate in my opinion. I will probably add some additional comments with time but do not presently want to devote any more time to the complaint part. My contacts are certainly circulating a lot of technical earthquake information considering that they are “imaginary” people. It is a good thing that they are imagined and not real or I would probably find it impossible to read all of their reports (humor intended).
