Hi Don,

You shouldn't talk so loud because it's giving me a headache. I hope everyone here will accept my apologies if I've insulted them or have been rude. Normally, I'm not that kind of a person, but when I'm too tired because I'm working too much or frustrated, I know I'm on a short fuse and I think I must have burned the end of it last night.

In the matter of earthquakes, prediction and what lies ahead, we should look for a miracle or a genius. Or a genius who is touched by the hand of God, because this is about one of the most hopeless situations on the planet. The problem is that there is not enough information there to make it work. Though I do have hope that geoForecasters will prove to be successful. It is easy to point fingers at the geo-sciences community and unilaterally say they have no heart or soul and don't care. However, that is not so. In totality I think they are extremely hard workers. They love what they do and they do work hard to look at all avenues of prediction. We should give them credit for what they've done so far.

It is painful to accept that you can't save everyone from earthquakes, tornados, pain, death or despair. Life is just what it is. We can either do our best to make it better for as many people as possible, or turn away and give up. I never give up.
