No, I mean all but one fell within 1/2 degree of the main shock. The last was within the 4th ring (34-36 degrees).

I looked at the Nov 3, 2002 quake, mag. 8.5 too. There were 127 quakes since them of mag 6.5+ and only 15 were within any of the rings.

But I haven't calculated the percent of the earth's surface covered by the rings and even that isn't very precise as the seismicity isn't uniformly distributed.
