EQF,

Very nice idea. I have the same idea 3 years back itself. I would like to explain the following:

First up all I am very clear that due to earth wobbling the inclination axis of the earth is vibrating and
naturally sending the vibration through out the earth. The wobbling is based on various factors including
alignment of planets on the space from time to time. Considering sun is fixed, I am taking daily '
vibration' of the earth using sun shadow method in my observatory regularly.

What you suggested is a magnetized tilt meter. I have a very good one with me in a different style.
As suggested by you there is no need to place the same close to the wall where I am taking readings.
It can be put it any where in my observatory. The only thing is without any disturbance, we should
see the magnetic variation whenever I registering a quake reading. But due to some technical reasons
I am unable to use it my observatory at the moment.

Anyway thank you for your suggestion.
