Canie-I just took a quick look at the first one. Depends on how you define plate, but GPS shows over 20 mm/yr of contraction across the high Himalaya in Nepal, and it is pretty well known that India is being overthrust by Tibet (or, another way of saying this is that India is subducting into the lower crust beneath Tibet. Continental plate boundaries are wide and diffuse-like California-but saying that there is not a plate boundary between India and Tibet is like saying there is not a plate boundary along the San Andreas fault. It depends on what you mean....Chris
