missing so far: observations

Canie, InSAR opens the possibility of observing concentrations of strain, and time-dependent strain before earthquakes, but only if these precursors exist. So far, time-dependent strain signals are not readily identifiable as earthquake precursors, and there is no guarantee that such signals exist. I can't believe NASA quoted that rock-cracking Freund. Carol Raymond, on the other hand, is a mainstream scientist, and the results from InSAR will be of great interest. John
