Hi EQF. Whether it’s 1% science and 99% politics, or some other figure it doesn’t really matter. When you have poured money into a program the way Japan has for almost 40 years and you have nothing to show for it it is time to look at other ways the money can be spent that will give you something in return.

They missed the quakes in Kobe and Sendai. In all fairness though they missed them because they weren’t looking for them to occur at those locations. Also they can give no guarantee that they can predict the Tokai quake.

No one believes in earthquake prediction more then I do, but I’m a realist. I’m prepared for the next major quake simply because I don’t believe there will be a workable prediction program in place that will work. When you have X number of dollars to work with you spend the majority of it where it will do the most good. Take Care…Don in creepy town
