To add further, according to the information received, before Oct. 1999 Southern California
Mojave Dessert 7.1M earthquake, large apparently inexplicable currents were recorded flowing
through the power grid and these currents needed to be dumped to ground in order to balance
the transformers at the various switching stations. It is under further investigation.
