Has The Earthquake Forecasting Dam Finally Broken? - Earthquake research in India

Bulletin Board Visitors – If you have any contacts with the earthquake forecasting and astrology communities in India, could you please make them aware of the information in this report? Thanks.

As a type of serious hobby I work on projects which are designed to save lives. And I have found that the following approach often produces good results:

1. Explain to people that a life threatening problem exists.

2. Explain why it is important that they attempt to solve it as quickly as possible.

3. Provide them with clear, detailed directions for how they might solve the problem.

Obviously, we need to learn how to forecast earthquakes. They are claiming lives and causing tremendous amounts of property damage.

My Web sites contain detailed instructions for how to use certain types of approaches to develop earthquake forecasting programs. But the actual main points of storing those reports there has been to tell people in general and other scientists in particular that it really is possible to forecast earthquakes. And the way to do that is to do some research and learn how it can be done. Nothing will get accomplished if people just sit there and constantly insist that earthquakes cannot be predicted.

In the past I have gotten amazingly good results with that three step approach with as little as one day of effort. However I have been using it with the science of earthquake forecasting for about 15 years. And I have been wondering if anything would ever get accomplished.

As pointed out in another note, a recent news story about forecasting efforts in Japan was encouraging. They were using words such as “advisory” and “prediction.” And that indicated to me that they were finally admitting that they have probably known all along that it should be possible and probably is possible to forecast at least some earthquakes. That admission represents a major step forward.

I was even happier to see the following recent news report:

Two ‘sciences” collaborate on quake forecasts

You may have to type that address into your browser address area. And, don’t wait too long. I do not know how long the report will be stored there.

It states that people connected with the Astrology Study and Research Institute in Delhi (New Delhi, India) plan to work with seismologists in an effort to develop effective earthquake forecasting procedures. More than 100 astrologers and scientists are expected to attend a 3 day workshop to discuss this subject. And, it sounds like a book titled “Predicting Earthquakes and Calamaties” authored by astrologer Lachhman Das Madan is scheduled to be released later this week.

Here is the point of this discussion:

It is my personal opinion that psychic, astrological, and “Remote Viewing” procedures can probably all be used to forecast earthquakes with different degrees of success. The point is that this approach which they are planning to try represents a novel way to deal with a life threatening problem. And whether or not they are successful it means that an organized group of people including classically trained scientists have officially decided that they are not going to just sit there while earthquakes continue to claim the lives of people around them.

Perhaps that news report is a good indicator that the “Earthquake forecasting dam” of negative statements and inactivity is finally breaking.

For years I have been trying to convince scientists around the world that they need to investigate the links between the positions of the sun and the moon in the sky and earthquake triggering processes. I was actually thinking more along classical physics lines than astrological ones. But if those people are moving in what might be regarded as the right direction then I am all for it whether it be classical psychics or astrology.

INFORMATION FOR EARTHQUAKE FORECASTING ASTROLOGERS

Having done quite a bit of reading and research on earthquake sensitivity related phenomena and psychic phenomena in general I will pass along the following information:

Although I believe that it is probably possible to forecast some earthquakes using astrological procedures, I do not know why they work. I have developed some theories along those lines. But this is not a major area of research for me and it would not be worth the effort to discuss them in this report. They are not very well developed.

I believe that when psychics, astrologers, and Remote Viewers forecast earthquakes they often feel that their forecasts should be 100% accurate. And they express that level of confidence when they tell people about a forecast. However, it has been my observation that they are never 100% accurate. In fact the accuracy rate can be fairly low.

The point is, you need to realize that for whatever reasons, many forecasts being generated with these types of procedures will fail. You need to determine what your success rate is. Be honest about that. You need to make sure that you tell people that there is only a certain probability that a forecast will be accurate. And, don’t get discouraged when a forecast fails.

Finally, if an astrology or psychic process etc. based forecast is the only information available regarding a possible approaching earthquake then I think that it might be wise to pay some heed to it and take a few precautions such as sleeping in a location where you will have some chance of surviving an earthquake if one does occur. However, I also strongly feel that it is quite important to confirm these types of forecasts with some physical type of measurement such as fresh cracks in building foundations, electromagnetic instrumentation readings, or even reports of pet, farm, and wild animals acting strangely. I would strongly recommend against relying solely on astrological or psychic types of forecast information. I believe that they can be deceptively wrong. Two may be accurate. And then the third will be off by a mile. If you place too much trust in them you may do more harm than good and encounter serious credibility problems.

Good luck with your efforts. Contact me through my Web site if you think I might be able to help you with your work.
