Some of my own data for earthquakes in that area

Shan, your notes made it possible for me to make what I consider to be an important discovery.

The reason I was interested in that earthquake date is because you said that you felt that there was a possible link between those earthquakes. And I wanted to see if anything in my Wave Chart data showed a similar link. As I began examining my data one thing led to another resulting in the following:

SOME BACKGROUND INFORMATION

My present theories propose that earthquakes are often being triggered and certain types of earthquake precursors are being generated when fault zones which have accumulated so much strain energy that they are getting close to fracturing on their own are bent, stretched, and compressed in just the right manner by forces or phenomena linked directly and/or indirectly with the gravitational pulls of the sun and the moon. The Solid Earth Tide would be one such phenomenon.

My theories also propose that if we could tell exactly how fault zones are being bent etc. at different times then we could use that information to link many earthquakes with other earthquakes, and earthquakes with precursors. At this time it does not appear to me that we can do that except in specific areas where the right types of monitoring instruments are available.

In order to get around that “lack of fault zone bending information” problem I have developed two forms of technology which generate what might be referred to as “synthetic fault zone bending, stretching, and compression types of information.” One form is the Wave Charts which are presently being discussed at my Web site. They look largely at roughly 30 day length earthquake triggering cycles.

The other is a group of 5 numbers associated with individual earthquakes and precursors which I refer to as “Earthquake Data Fingerprints.” They represent things such as the position of the moon in the sky at the time of the earthquake and the locations of ocean and Solid Earth Tide crests and trough at those times. And they look at roughly 25 hour earthquake triggering cycles. The idea is to generate groups of Data Fingerprint numbers such as those which are unique for each earthquake.

EARTHQUAKE AND WARNING SIGNAL DATA

Here is what I discovered after checking my China earthquake data:

On August 21, 2000 the following moderately destructive earthquake occurred in China:

2000/08/21 13:25:47 25N 102E 5.0 mag YUNNAN, CHINA
(NEIS data)

Two days before that earthquake on August 19 I detected two clear warning signals which I have always been convinced were linked with that earthquake. However, my data fingerprint numbers were not very good matches as you can see. I am including only the first 2 number of those data fingerprint sets as I do not presently have all 5 for every set. (range for each number is 0 to 90)

16 39 Earthquake

75 7 warning signal 2
57 79 warning signal 1

But, here are the two earthquakes you mentioned in your note: They occurred in the same area as that August 21 earthquake.

2000/01/14 23:37:08 25N 101E 5.9 mag YUNNAN, CHINA
2000/01/14 22:09:03 25N 101E 5.2 mag YUNNAN, CHINA
(NEIS and/or RedPuma data)

And here are the two data fingerprint groups for those earthquakes:

9 78 earthquake 2
78 57 earthquake 1

I regard those numbers for the two warning signals and those two earthquakes to be virtual exact matches. Their order is reversed because the sun and moon were on opposite sides of one another when the signals were detected and when the earthquakes occurred.

So, I believe that what those data are doing is providing me with some really valuable information regarding the nature of the link between earthquakes and other earthquakes, and earthquakes and warning signals.

It would take too long to discuss all of the reasons that that information is significant. But I can say the following:

This pertains to what I feel is an important research project linked partly with my Wave Chart generation programs etc. which are now being evaluated by other forecasting personnel. Boatloads of theory information and data are being exchanged. And what I am learning is fascinating. Now that I have seen those earthquake and warning signal data I am probably going to recommend that this project begin moving in a particular direction.

I will also add that your sun shadow based forecasting procedure and the RingMap technology are being discussed as well though not in detail at the moment partly because I myself know relatively little regarding how either of them works.

Finally, if you yourself have records for those three China earthquakes that I mentioned then you might check and see if good matches were observed. And let us know if that is the case.
