Hi DH. Thanks for the link. I have read that one before as well as another one. However I never posted any of the links.

It is believed there is a fault in the bottom of San Pablo Bay. It was identified to me as the Pinole thrust fault. However in as much as the San Pablo Bay is a pull apart basin I don’t think this would be a thrust fault. It is about 5Km long and is a southwest/northeast trending fault.

In 2001 I was having a lot of fun using some data for predicting earthquakes. On 09/04/2001 I made a prediction for the area of San Pablo Bay. Got a little more then I bargained for.

Novato, California Earthquake Forecast Plus Two

Magnitude: 2.5-5.0
From: 09/05/2001PDT - To: 09/10/2001PDT
Location: Novato, California
Lat: 38.1N - Long: 122.5W - Range: 40Km

There was a mini swarm of about 7 quakes that covered an area of about 5 miles, or less. The largest quake was a M>2.5. Quakes are seen in that area from time to time, but a swarm such as this made things a little uneasy. As it was nothing came of it. Take Care…Don in creepy town
