Solar Flares & Earthquakes

Hi All,

As you all know I keep tabs on solar flare impact regions as much as I can. Yesterday evening we had an M class flare near the east coast of Indonesia and just a few minutes ago we got another M6 event in the same location. For some unknown reason, this particular region is hit frequently when M flares occur and this has been going on for several days.

So lets look at the NEIC list for yesterday and today and you can clearly see 8 earthquakes associated with that region. Is it coincidental? Could be, but I don't think so....Petra
