Too bad you had to send the snake onto higher pastures. But better him than you. I hate hitting any poor creature with my car - I saw a large dog in the road just yesterday or this morning in our neighborhood. So sad that someone lost a member of their family.

I'll just add that the cats are acting on the odd side - most are rather spooky acting (growling at any little noise) and our Nala is being real noisy. We do have a litter of kittens that is 5 weeks old now - Nala is the Mother. They are all protective but they seem to be a bit over-protective today. Nala has gotten very noisy before some of the past quakes down here.
