Roger, you appear to me to have read something into my note which I did not say.

I did not say that the Ringmap program has no value and that it does not work. I simply said that I myself have not yet been able to find an application for it.

In the past I was not certain regarding what physical principle it is based on. The explanations which people presented seemed a little vague. But the information in your present note is understandable. It apparently represents an Earth crust based example of interference patterns. Those types of studies are common in science and are often done with light from lasers etc.

I also feel that the other comments in your note were generally inaccurate. But I cannot see where anything would be gained by arguing about them.
