Hi Chris,

I am quite certain I have this correct this time. It is the solar flares, not the protons which Lowell believes are a possible trigger to earthquakes. If you will recall we had at least four straight days of multiple solar flares with some of them not even being an hour apart.

The proton events affect communications such as satellites, TV, radio, telephones and aurora behavior.

While it may not be quaking around here, it sure is raining. I got caught in one h... of a gully washer on the way home tonight. We are breaking 20 year rainfall records this spring and today was really exceptional. Perhaps that rain with a little triggering might loosen up the faults a bit huh? Get those old rocks to swell up and break. Probably not as likely as a landslide, though.
