Don, I believe that I have stated this repeatedly. But I get the impression it is not registering with you since you keep repeating that information regarding stress accumulation.

As I have said again and again, I agree completely regarding that. The fundamental reason that the earthquake occurs as far as I am aware is because strain has accumulated in the rock layers over the years. They bend instead of fracturing. And things finally reach a point where they cannot be bent any further and there is an earthquake. What I am trying to do with the work that I am doing is show that they do not always occur at random times. There are understandable and identifiable forces etc. which finally trigger the earthquakes, proverbial “straws which break the camel’s back.” And we can determine what those triggering forces are by evaluating certain types of data. The main problem is the fact that researchers have been looking at the wrong types of data all these years. I am trying to show them what types of data they should be examining.
