John, this has nothing to do with “deaf ears.” I understand probably all of the information that you include in your notes. The problem is that we are still to a considerable extent discussing different types of data. And the things which you are trying to explain etc. simply do not apply to the data with which I am working. As more information is added to that 130.html Web page things should become clearer.

In the mean time I will once again outline what I feel could move things forward fairly quickly.

A Web site for doing this type of work could and I believe should be created and run by some organization such as a university, research group, or government agency. All of the basic data and computer programs would then be stored at the site. And researchers around the world would evaluate the data and submit new data processing computer programs and routines for use and storage at the site.

From responses to my Newsgroup notes I have formed the opinion that the people who could probably initially be most helpful and willing to assist with this type of effort are the many computer programmers around the world. They would not need any substantial knowledge of geophysics. The effort would largely involve developing data processing routines. But they would need a central place to do the work, meaning a Web site somewhere. My present Web sites would not work for that. And I myself would also not have time to both do the basic research and run the proposed Web site.
