Southern: Big Bear City, Barstow, Coso Junction
Northern: (john took all the good locations....) Parkfiled, Burney, Petrolia

I've seen Parkfield posted for both 'north' and 'south' locations - it has been a bit busy there, but I do think of it as 'Northern California' if we're looking to classify it. Northern cal earthquake center is responsible for that area of the state...
