Bob - I think it imperative that we continue to explore outer space.

We are isolated on this one small planet - all we need is one good meteor to hit and extinction ! Wouldn't it be nice if we had colonies on the Moon and on Mars ? Ice on those planets would go a long way towards economical colonization.

From there we can spread out further - who knows what new manufacturing marvels can be made under those conditions ?

If it weren't for NASA and the space program, we wouldn't have half the number of the marvels we have today - including that computer you are using.
