Bay Area Dilational Strain

Hi All. Things are getting interesting in the Bay Area. There appears to be an increase in dilational strain at the Russell site. This is about 3 miles NE of Orinda. This is close to the area of the small swarm of quakes on 03/24/2003.

The closest fault in this area is the Franklin fault, but there is no way of knowing if this is the fault that is causing this indication or not.

If there is going to be a quake in this area the most likely magnitude will be M>3.5 to M>5.0. It should occur on 03/31/2003 plus or minus 2 days. Take Care…Don in creepy town
