Petra, the topic being focused on at the present time in this thread is earthquake triggering processes. Earthquake predictions can be discussed in some other thread.

Additionally, in my opinion, experienced science professionals should not need praise from anyone for motivation. They do the work because they feel that it is important. And with earthquakes claiming a life every hour, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year on the average I myself would regard efforts to deal with that problem as being important.
