Hi All,

Last August I contacted the Seismic Safety Commission about retrofitting water heaters in rental units in California.

As a result they have put together Bill AB1576 which will be presented by Assemblywoman Carol Liu of Pasadena. If it is passed it would go into effect 7/1/05.

I have been invited to go to Sacramento and sit with the members of several committees to discuss various ideas before the presentation of the bill.

I'm not exactly sure what the time line on the project is, but do plan on attending as frequently as possible.
