Hi All. I just had a talk with USGS about the strain and I was told that because the strain is occurring in steps this could very well be a “slow quake.” However a large quake can’t be ruled out.

The reason were not seeing an increase in creep is because it hasn’t reached the surface yet. Creep is taken about 2 meters below the surface. If it is going to reach the surface we should see something in the next 4 or 5 days, maybe a little sooner.

Anyway I can’t think of a better way spend a day then sitting back and waiting for something to happen, or in some cases not happen. What fun. Take Care…Don in creepy town
