Sorry Chris, What I can say about this is very limited, so best to say very little. I might note, however that the current series of earthquakes in the Solomon Islands, Guatemala and Mexico began just after the most intense disturbance of the geomagnetic field (on January 20) - A-index 53 at high latitudes since November 21, 2002 when the index reach 64, and leave you to draw your own conclusions regarding the existence or non-existence of any relation.
