Hi Canie. I was living in Morgan Hill at the time of the quake. The town is about 200 miles north of the quake. It woke me up out of sound sleep. Didn’t know it was a large quake until we read about in the local newspaper.

I had an Aunt that lived in Visalia at the time. She said the house shook so bad that they thought it was going to come down. There wasn’t very much in the way of damage inside the house, but the garage was a total mess inside. Everything came down from the shelves. Took them a week to clean the mess up. She said it looked like a quake had hit the place then started laughing when she realized what she had said. We teased her about that for years.

Being as how the White Wolf fault dips to the southeast this latest swarm could very well be on an unknown fault. This brings to mind something that was told to me about Rodgers Creek fault. This fault dips to the southwest, but I was told to watch for quake activity east of the fault. Wonder if the same thing would apply to the White Wolf fault? Being as how I will be at the Berkeley Seismo Lab next week maybe I can get some of my questions answered. Take Care…Don in creepy town
