I have to agree that Long Valley could be such a supervolcano but its magma chamber isn't as 'full' as it would take to have a major event. That's not to say it couldn't start filling more at any time. Ash from Long Valley also made its way as far south as down here 760,000 years ago so it is conceivably a threat.

I think we'd see signs of it filling though as we did in 1997. And heck, I won't be around in 10,000 years anyway! I would wonder if any humans would be. We don't take good care of our environment and can't seem to get away from those weapons and live in peace.
