holy tamole! Caramba! Don and Petra know where I live and I SWEAR I would "never ever ever" go UP the rest of my street to the top of Mt. Hood...
BUT... I did it! (I know they're having a hard time believing me lol - just so you know I drove)

We HAD to go... from our front door we could see what appeared to look like ski slopes (although they're nothing close). So we went up into the attic and donned our ski gear and up we went... to the TOP - the tippy top! OMG I had a real panic attack during that last moment (or 2 or 3)
Petra would NOT like this drive, nor did I, but once you're on it, you're stuck. The trick to this drive was driving IN the snow, and on some parts of it it is one lane, causing SOME driver to back up if you meet someone along the way. No guard rails, 500' straight down...

But once at the top we're talking GORGEOUS! My 11 yr old daughter has not seen snow since she was 4 - we threw snowballs, they went down on snowboards... we took fabulous pictures. I guess I can't paste one here, since it is not a URL :(

I had to walk back part of the way and even then I was having a hard time with the "height thing"..
I know, I'm bad - guess the bottom line here is I conquered a fear and had fun in the end. Doesn't mean I liked getting there and back. Doesn't mean I would do it again, but I did do it! yee ha!

p.s. Man.... was it COLD~!
