I cannot help but agree with the geologist who wondered what the reaction would be if 2 quakes were reported. I can understand the reluctance of officials to say anything, because this is what happens, statements taken out of context, misinformation added, TV stations adding to the emotional content. and a wave of panic soon gripping the general population.
