Geomagnetic storm!

One of the Web pages that I watch is showing that we are now in the middle of a powerful geomagnetic storm.

The numbers in the far right column indicate its intensity. I believe that like earthquake magnitudes, those numbers are not on a linear scale. When they double it means that the storm has an intensity increase of quite a bit more than 2. The intensity “7” numbers in that table show that there must be a considerable amount of energy moving around in the upper atmosphere at the moment.

Earthquake precursors which I monitor have been indicating to me that such a storm could be about to occur. And I recommend that people who are collecting information regarding solar and geomagnetic storms gather as much information regarding this one as they can without going through too much trouble.

For example,

*** Exactly when did it start?

*** What is the location(s) where its energy hit the Earth or where it is expected to hit the Earth?

*** It is related to an electron, proton, or X-ray solar storm? Or might its energy be coming from earthquake fault zone activity?

I am trying to organize one of my Web pages (131.html) so that these types of data can be displayed. That would then enable people to compare a variety of earthquake related data with one another. However, I am not presently certain what type of solar and geomagnetic storm data to collect and where the best sources of those types of data can be found. Perhaps this storm might provide us with that information.

At the moment I myself am in the middle of a major overhaul of my data processing routines so that I can begin storing information regarding gravitational forces at that Web page. It is like trying to shovel through a mountain of trigonometric equations and spreadsheet computer programs!
