I would be neglecting my duty to members of this board if I gave the impression in my previous post that this flare had not been noticed and presumed as a seismic trigger BEFORE the Sumatera earthquake. Don in Creepy town sent me an e-mail on October 31 regarding this flare and inquiring where it would be sub-solar and likely to trigger strong earthquakes.

Keep an eye open for such events, they may be an aid in your efforts to predict earthquakes. And congratulations to those of you who were observant enough to catch this one.
