Hi Lowell,

I see the probable cause quake occurred on 10/10/02 and was a 6.7 magnitude quake, versus prior 7.5 or greater past quakes. So I'm curious as to what the results could be.

We have quite a range in mags for these events from 3's to two 6.4's, so I would imagine with the precursor quake being of lower magnitude what one might anticipate this time around? Its kind of a wide margin.

Thus using random chance, one might rule out the 3's and only use the 4's and greater, which would mean the chance of having a 4 to 6.4 would be reduced from this precursor type earthquake of a lower magnitude. As the 6.7 is at the low end of the FFA sequence it may not apply, but cannot be ruled out either. However, I did have a rather long right ear tone about a week ago which would match the area in question, but as it taking until November 10th to arrive, it seems a little long. But I haven't got that set in stone yet.

So I guess we can sit back, put up our feet, have a Corona beer, read a good book or watch TV and see what happens.

Ah, I love suspense and this is a good. Thanks for the post.

Petra
