Tropical storms Kenna and Lowell |
There is a tropical storm Lowell in the east Pacific. Tropical storm Kenna is supposed to turn into a category 2 hurricane and hit the mexican coast near the mouth of the Gulf of California-forecast to hit in general area of Cabo Corrientes-see www.nhc.noaa.gov. With a tropical storm Lowell out there, might have to look at whether Kenna causes any earthquake activity near where it comes ashore-as far as I know nothing happened with Isidore in the Gulf of Mexico, but Kenna is coming through a more active area. There have been a fair amount of intraplate earthquakes listed on the NEIC page the last couple days-Wyoming, Great Britain, central Alaska, others...
