Re: Well, Huh? Tests You Say?

Hi All,

I like tests. I took one last week, I haven't received the results yet, but testing ones memory skills is kind of fun on a slow day. But I took another kind of test today, an EKG, it was fun to, being hooked up to all of those little diodes, I think they call them. I felt like I was going to get the big buzz, but it only sounded like it went off the richter scale. But guess what, it was perfect. The good news is I'm not going to have heart failure, the bad news is that I'm anxious. *grin*

I rather like high anxiety, gets the juices flowing and that's what I'm looking forward to come this Sunday when the big kick off occurs at the annual AGU Convention in San Francisco. I'll be attending the kick off reception on Sunday evening and enjoy the days lectures on Wednesday and the Awards dinner Wednesday night.

I've heard the who's who of everything will be in attendance and I will see how many on my list of those I wish to meet, I can actually find in a crowd of thousands. It should be fun, educational and heart warming to see some of my favorite seismologists I've come to know this year and a few I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet.

Of course I'll be asking the same questions I asked this year to all of them, how come? why not? when do you expect it to arrive? what was your name? Oh, I see. I've got it now, that's for the next century. Won't be long now.

One day, in the not so distant millennium earthquake prediction will indeed arrive and to those valiant ones who will take the steps to reach that ultimate goal, my hat's off to them.
