Don's quakes - update |
Since Don made his forecast for California, Oregon and Mexico a number of regionally significant earthquakes have occurred in these areas. I thought I would outline these here: Mexico - All these are the largest events within 100 km of their respective epicenters in more than 6 months. Coast of Oregon - Earthquakes of Mb 4.1 on Sept. 25 and 27 have Northeast: A Ml 2.5 occurred in Michigan on Sept. 25. It California: Pinnacles: A Ml 3.0 and 3.9 occurred hours after Don's forecast was posted about 10 km from the Pinnacles, CA. San Jose: Several hours later, a Ml 3.3 (listed by NCSN) was felt with intensity IV in the San Jose area. This earthquake has now been given Ms 4.6 by the USGS a significant increase in the magnitude. It is the largest earthquake in Central California A link to the USGS description of this event is below.
