I am curious as to how this type of event can be reduced to hours, when other "silent earthquakes" seem to occur over a period of weeks to months. Can you elaborate on the short window?

If this "silent earthquake" were to occur, how long would it take before you could detect its occurrence? Without a physical shaking mechanism occurring and a short time interval, do you anticipate a sizeable area of movement?

The article you posted said the movement in Washington had the equivalent of a 6 magnitude quake, but it occurred over a much longer period of time, thus with a shorter window, what model of comparison would you anticipate developing?
