3D earthquake and fault map

I need to make a longer post on the SCEC meeting (Southern California earthquake center), but something that I suggested is happening: there was a demo of the southern California 3D fault map with earthquakes appearing on it in near-real time in 3D. It may be as long as a year before this is on line: you may be able to fly through the faults and earthquakes on the web. I think many of you would enjoy that-I will check that page myself daily. I (with others) have contributed some of the maps to the SCEC community fault model. While there is already a web page, it is not public yet, but I think it will be released as soon as January.

I really like what the new incarnation (is that a word?) of SCEC is doing in structure!
