M3.8 near Parkfield

We are up already in suburbia. Looks like there was a 3.8 near Parkfield overnight. Things are getting more interesting in California, just in time for the Southern California Earthquake Center meeting. I'm working on a poster (with others) showing a newly mapped blind fault beneath Santa Monica Bay. There is a big anticline offshore of Manhattan Beach. The question is whether it is still folding. We don't have an answer to this yet, but there were M5.0 reverse/thrust earthquakes in the area in 1979 and 1989. The 1989 earthquake was most noteable as the source of a string of 20 or 30 earthquake jokes on the Johny Carson monologue, strung together one after another. Chris
