Hi Don, Just to keep the record straight for our readers, I was sent to Bennett Valley to do a damage inspection report for Charles Watson of Seimo-Watch. The report was given to him and subsequently turned over to Dr. Topozada to file with the State of California as an offical damage report. The commentary regarding the report was that it was very thorough and comprehensive. Of course that comes from my many years of being a claims adjuster where details are always important. However, the home I visited did suffer enough damage that it went beyond the homeowners earthquake deductible and she did file a claim for her damages. This was the only home in this entire area that suffered damage, thus one can only draw one conclusion; it sits right on top of the fault. The neighbors in the area only reported having their pictures on their walls move out of place. But nothing fell of any variety fell. That is truly odd as they are no further than 1/4 mile away from the home that suffered significant damage. I'm very glad I got this assignment as it was very interesting both in examination of the home as one could clearly see the motion of the quake pattern in the home and the creek just behind the house had boulders that weighed tons and they moved out and to the right, which would have been NE from their prior locations. One other fascinating detail which did not go with the report was that the homeowners mother was murdered in the home about 3 years prior. Petra
