China, Mt. Hood, Turkey, and Indonesia earthquakes

The following is some technical information generated by my earthquake forecasting data evaluation computer program. These are personal opinions.

On June 28, 2002 the following powerful earthquake occurred:

2002/06/28 17:19:30 43.77N 130.72E 564.1 7.3
EAST RUSSIA-NORTHEAST. CHINA BORDER REGION
(NEIS data)

On June 29 a burst of moderately strong earthquake warning type signals was detected. This was somewhat unusual as warning signal activity had been quiet at the time. And it returned to being quiet after those signals were detected.

When I ran those warning signals through my data evaluation computer program it detected matches of different types between the signals and that China earthquake and the following earthquakes:

2002/06/29 18:49:58 45.34N 121.68W 6.1 3.8 WASH-OREGON BDR REG
2002/06/29 14:41:21 45.33N 121.68W 2.7 3.2 WASH-OREGON BDR REG
2002/06/29 14:36:04 45.34N 121.69W 6.1 4.5 WASH-OREGON BDR REG
(Mt. Hood area)

2002/02/03 11:54:34 38.56N 31.03E 10.0 5.0 A TURKEY
2002/02/03 11:39:54 38.53N 30.96E 10.0 5.3 A TURKEY
2002/02/03 09:26:43 38.68N 30.81E 10.0 5.9 A AFYON PROVINCE, TURKEY
2002/02/03 07:11:29 38.56N 31.11E 10.0 6.2 A AFYON PROVINCE, TURKEY

I was surprised to see those Turkey earthquake matches. But they were quite clear and strong. At this time I am not sure what the connection might be with them. Perhaps someone else can suggest something.

I do believe that it is possible that that China earthquake somehow caused both those warning signals and the Mt. Hood area earthquakes to occur when they did. Perhaps a shockwave from the earthquake jarred something loose in a Mt. Hood area fault zone.

My data evaluation computer program also detected possible matches between that strongly felt earthquake and earthquake warning type signals which were detected on July 8, 2002.
