X class flare

July 21,

There was another X class flare-looks like X2 or X3 on www.sec.noaa.gov/today.html

I'm surprised someone else did not post this first-its been a while since it occurred.

I don't see anything unusual in California seismicity map. The global (neic) we'll have to wait for them to post quakes-it is weekend.

Let's look at this cautiously-if you think there are more spreading center quakes, put some numbers on it. Some small quake will occur at the time of arrival of the xrays, or the onset of geomag storm-but is this significant? I've kind of lost track which quakes are expected at arrival of xrays (immediate) vs a few days later-during or after peak of geomag storminess... (if any).

No, I'm not putting my money where my mouth is-I don't have time to do things quantitatively for this page. Maybe Canie is interested?
