is within striking distance of the centerline of one of the FFA rings (see link):

Longitude: -122 Latitude: 42
Longitude: -122 Latitude: 43
Longitude: -121 Latitude: 43

Let's see ... ballpark ranges from centerline are about .7 & 2.3 degrees (or ~ 70 kms & 230 kms) using the 3rd entry above.

While this is not an (FFA theory) proof of any kind it 'shore is interesting....'

I wonder if Mt. Hood has a lot of people living around the quake area? Sure would make for some nights sleeping with one eye open....
