Hi Don:

Thanks for the correction. I knew it was 32 something.... So much for the 'hand grenades and horseshoes' memory huh ? :-)

One set of Far Field Aftershock (FFA) ring center-line location points (within West Coast boundaries of 113-130 W x 30-50 N ) are:

Longitude: -130 Latitude: 36
Longitude: -129 Latitude: 37
Longitude: -128 Latitude: 37
Longitude: -127 Latitude: 38
Longitude: -127 Latitude: 39
Longitude: -126 Latitude: 39
Longitude: -125 Latitude: 40
Longitude: -124 Latitude: 41
Longitude: -123 Latitude: 42
Longitude: -122 Latitude: 42
Longitude: -122 Latitude: 43
Longitude: -121 Latitude: 43
Longitude: -120 Latitude: 44
Longitude: -119 Latitude: 45
Longitude: -118 Latitude: 45
Longitude: -118 Latitude: 46
Longitude: -117 Latitude: 46
Longitude: -116 Latitude: 47
Longitude: -115 Latitude: 47
Longitude: -115 Latitude: 48
Longitude: -114 Latitude: 48

Looks like the line comes in offshore going through Petrolia, N. CA on over to Klamath Falls area in Oregon. There's already been activity at Petrolia prior to this M7.3 so maybe they'll get another 3+ pointer over there if this FFA ring pans out.

The area of the world covered by all the FFA rings is about 12-13 percent. So the odds of randomly chosing any location in the world which will land on an FFA ring is about 1/12 or about 8.3 %.

Should be interesting to see if anythings 'a movin' around the locations above.

Take care - $.02
