some problems there. 2 lat-lon pairs determine a line, not an area. If you want to define an irregular region I would need lat-lon points for each corner.By drawing lines from point to point I define a closed region. I can then fill that region with a color but it will mask anything inside. I don't have transparent colors.

I can capture any area with the Encarta Globe if that would help. It's a great program; a globe from space can be zoomed in to street level.

I assume you will create the datafile yourself?
