Roger, try the Kunlun EQ-the M8 last fall. I know there was a 6+ near Ascenscion island right after, at about 103 deg. I'd either make separate maps for before and after, or have the quakes before a different color. You could have symbol size correspond to magnitude, and a color scale for time from main earthquake. Decide of you want to have it posted on Earthwaves, or if I should check my notebook for your address and email you my current address. As far as which base map-I don't much care-the color one that is used to post FFA rings here is fine-except maybe needs a little better resolution or larger scale. I think if I looked at these figures for all M7+ EQs in one year I would have a strong personal opinion whether anything is going on or not. I think you would also. Chris
