KPIX news broadcasts this evening said USGS downgraded the Gilroy earthquake's magnitude this afternoon to 4.9. I notice that magnitude is shown now on the NEIC list, but the CA/NV Recent Earthquakes list still shows it as 5.2. Did they downgrade it because it caused relatively little damage or for other reasons?
