Hi Canie,

Thanks for posting that message. I was watching the 11:30PM news last night and they were interviewing Pat Jorgensen from the USGS Menlo Park Office. She hadn't even had time to look at the earthquake maps or get any materials together and she was being bombarbed by questions she really had no data to respond with. Poor dear.

She said from the time of the quake until then she had been doing TV and writers interviews and was thus left dataless. But the TV people did ask her about aftershocks and what she said was pretty much what appeared in the OES advisement.

As everyone pretty much knows, I can't hear earthquakes of that size so close to me, but something happened last week and I know I was not the only one to experience this. I got a sound like an ear tone in both ears at the same time, but the tone did not travel in distance. It had no length. This occurred twice on one day and another time on the day after. I think these were Wednesday and Thursday of last week. I was fairly certain this meant a local quake was going to occur, but this was the first time I've had any experience with this type of ear connection. So I thought I'd mention it, just in case there were others who had the same experience.

Thanks for the report....Petra
