Canie-Rather than doing complicated statistics on possible relationships, I suggest simple graphs such as I mentioned in the previous post, to see if there are clear global relationships between geomagnetic activity and earthquakes. If there is no clear relationship, then there are still other things to do: sensitivity of particular areas-which still should show up on graphs, or relationship to sudden commencements....for any of these to be convincing one needs to make clear certain criteria, and the demonstrate this. Since I only look at this casually, I end up being confused/unconvinced by posts on this page. So-go for some research into this......Chris
